Hello! It's me

Hi, readers, writers, and lovers of all things literary. This is my first post as a blogger, and I'm so excited to be here! I love to write things long or short, great or small. We freelance writers have been told that today, with the burgeoning social media, we need more than ever to know who are readers are and what their desires and concerns are. My mama taught me, "Do what you're told!" So here I am.

Guess what I learned, right off the bat? Blogging at its best is not about selling something but about building relationships. Isn't that neat? I look forward to getting to know you all better and having you get to know me. Lots of you have never seen this side of me. That's because it's not on the outside, it's in the pores. Plus I see golden opportunities to share my faith with others and have you share your spiritual understandings with me.

Since this is my first attempt at working in this type of media, I'll probably be tweaking this for awhile. I always aim for the best. My daughter Debbie says I'm picky; I say, "I'm just striving for excellence!" We don't fight, we just exchange viewpoints. That's because we live together, and you know that goes...

So I'll sign off for today. You'll find me posting on Mondays and Thursdays, so bring your viewpoints, or comments, or requests, but most of all your presence when my next blog comes up. And the one after that. And the one after that. And...well, you get the idea!
